Wish

 

What I wished for wasn’t longevity but sensitivity to you who were

To feel the pain that was placed upon your heart

To understand your circumstance

But what I wished for didn’t come to pass

Instead I got frustration and indifference

And that became the end of who we were

What I wished for wasn’t just for love but was for patience
