RANT- EVERYONES A CHRISTIAN

 

Why is it that today everyone claims to be Christian, without having the fruit of Christianity.

Has being a Christian become some type of trend.

Do they know what is really means to be a Christian?

To die to oneself and pick up your cross everyday.

To have compassion and sympathy for others. 

To be in the world and not of the world.

Yes, sanctification is a process 

But repentance is a renewing of the mind.

We cannot claim Jesus and still live in sin.

But one must think what is sin and how do we become like Jesus

While the answer is simple, read the Bible.

The Bible is the written word of God

And it explains all the things we need to do as Christians.

If you are a Christian and you don't read the Bible, and do what it says

Then why call yourself  a Christian? 

Luke 6: 46 says 

"Why do you call me Lord, Lord and not do what I say".

Would you call your self a doctor without taking the classes and getting your degree?

No! Because if you claim something there must be proof.

And I think it is wonderful that everyone wants to be a Christian

But those faking Christianity isn't it.

It makes it more difficult for those who really want to know Jesus.

When they see "Christians" not having the fruits of the spirit or living in sin.

They think that this is what it means to be a Christian.

Again being a follower of Jesus isn't easy, but those on the outside should 

see something different in you.

And they should think, Yes this person is really a Christian.
